Derivative separate interview

Hi everybody,

I recently got an IL today in Kuala Lumpur Embassy for EB1 immigrant visa.  Want to seek advice from anyone who have gone through interview:

Is is possible to have separate interviews for principle applicant and additional/derivative applicant? Although the principle applicant can attend the interview, the derivative applicant has a quite important schedule and is not possible to come to interview at that period of time.

My question are:

How's the process of contacting the consulate to schedule a separate interview for the derivative applicant?

Need to send request to local embassy to ask for their arrangement for derivative applicant?

How close in terms of the date normally will they arrange?

And what's the timing for us to contact to arrange a separate interview for derivative applicant(like after the principle applicant's interview or before the principle applicant's interview is OK)?

Thanks for any advice, really appreciate it!

It may be possible under dire circumstances but no matter how important of a schedule they may have, They should be attending the interview, My best guess is that the whole interview would be rescheduled for both you and the beneficiary.

It can take months to get a rescheduled interview date so I would strongly suggest that you keep the current date.

You must contact the Embassy before the interview date and they'll most likely reschedule the interview for both you and the beneficiary.

I have a few questions of my own, How much time did it take you to get the IL after moving your case to Malaysia? I myself haven't gone through the interview but 2 of my cousins recently got interviewed for EB-3 and shared their experience with me.

Thanks. But already contacted lawyer think it's possible to arrange two separate interviews especially after the principle applicant got the visa. The time to receive IL after transfer to Malaysia is high variable. Mine is 1 and half month, but a lot of people don't receive IL after 3 months of transfer.
