Interview Date Same Time as Baby Due Date

Hey, I'm US citizen with wife is in pakistan who I am sponsoring for USA Ir1 Visa. 

She is currently pregnant, with the due date being around same time as interview. December 4th is interview date at the USA Embassy in islamabad.

On the interview letter, it says we can reschedule but it might take significant time and visa might not be available at the time of reschedule date.

 

How long will the wait be for the reschedule?

 

And since the baby is born right before the Interview, do I update the affidavit of support, including the baby?

I would contact NVC, and see if they can schedule the interview for February.  Explain why.  That will give time for recovery and CRBA filing before visa in hand, and avoid conflicting dates.

Also, ignore the statement about a visa not being available.  She is applying for an Immediate Relative visa (IR1) which are not numerically limited.
