Not true with Thailand...seems like everything I could think of to send there, they can already get. I've about ran out of ideas.

This is the David half of dj1206...Jacki and I are now sharing the same account. I believe Jacki was asking this question mainly because I love a lot of the non-perishable things such as Pancit Canton (hot chili pepper flavor!!!). Yeah, it's basically the same as Ramen noodles that can be had here in USA, but I like Pancit Canton better. Those tiny hot spicy peppers they have in the Phils are to die for!!! Jacki watched me eat several of them without even water coz I had already ran out! And another thing Jacki knows that I love from the Phils food-wise is Cream-O's. Neither food is very good for me, coz I'm diabetic, but I love Cream-O's, and I love Pancit Canton even better. I brought at least 12 Pancit Canton packs back home last December, and another 10 or so back with me this past May...and a two boxes each of Cream-O's on both trips. I wish chicken could last across the ocean...oh what I'd give for some good Chicken Inasal again (I just got turned on to that this past May in CDO City). Jacki thinks she can find recipe or already knows how to cook that, so I can wait till January for her to try that out on me. But honestly, we got that in a mall a few times and that is the best chicken I have had ever...it's better than KFC, Bojangles, Popeyes, and even gourmet restaurants in the USA!

They can get the same stuff in the RP and some of it cheaper, they just wanted things from America because they were things from America. Of course the tennis shoes were probably made in China :P My wife is the family's sole support so this was just something to help her family with and they had a great time digging the goodies out of the box.

Filipinos like "pasalubongs" no matter how inexpensive they are hahaha! Opening packages are exciting too but hmm, my family doesn't like spam though but I heard many Filipinos like them
