Is it ok to send food from Philippines to NC, USA? I never tried it though but im wondering if I'll have hard time sending it. My fiance said we're not allowed to do it but Im doubting lol.

Depends on what kind of food really. You should be able to, but you probably need to check import laws to see what can be imported and what can't.

i dont plan on buying bulk. I just want to add some food to include in a package I want to send to my fiance. Like candies, chocos, noodles and the likes. thats all hehhe

Check with the courier you want to use. They should tell you what you can or cannot mail to the US.

It would probably be cheaper with less head aches just to find a Filipino grocery store in your area. I found one about four miles from our home and Claudeth is in heaven and the prices are reasonable.

My fiancee sends me things from Thailand all the time. Many snacks though. About the only thing you have to watch for are your meat and vegetable/products. Fruits and vegetables that are canned should be ok. She does send me snacks that have been made from seafood though...that hasn't been a problem. It can be hit or miss though. A few months ago, she sent a big package of food and it was inspected by customs. They cut open each bag of potato chips that was in the package except one. Nice. Why did she send potato chips? I can't find half the type of flavors they have there (chili paste, seafood mayonaise, kimchee, chili squid etc).

When I was over there, I brought a suitcase and a half back filled with foods. Not a problem.

yeah my husband sent food from Phils with no problem, he sent the san mig 3 in one coffee, nescafe, he even sent the

da-ing. The key is to wrap it up real good seal it real good , etc etc etc. He also send me shampoo, herbal teas etc. good luck he also sent it philpost expressmail/overnight. never had a problem gud luck !

You can send food as long as its dried and well sealed, but you have to pay extra because its perishable. Try to call the courier company first. Try FedEx

It is more fun sending stuff the other way. We just send a box to Claudeth's family and they went crazy. Tennis shoes, tee-shirts, towels, SPAM - Filipinos seem to love span, and all sorts of other stuff. Claudeth has already started collecting things for the next box.
