I have a question about the interview: Do we need to bring the original Affidavit of Support (I-864), or is a copy sufficient?

Want to add "You do not need to bring your Affidavit of Support or financial evidence you submitted to NVC". This is written on NVC website. Is it true? Can someone explain because according to my understanding I 864 original is must for interview.

Hi everyone,

We have visa interviews coming up at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, and our group already has access cards for the Diplomatic Enclave, so parking isn’t a problem for us. Does anyone know if we can drive directly to the embassy, or do we still need to use the shuttle service? Any recent experiences would be really helpful!

I have a few questions regarding our upcoming interview and embassy visit:

1. Can we visit the embassy in our own vehicle since we have Diplomatic Enclave passes? Our children attend school within the Diplomatic Enclave, and we also have friends residing there, so parking should not be an issue.

2. Is it necessary to update the DS-260 form now that my husband has retired and started a new job? We've already updated our residential address.

3. Do we need to bring a separate photocopy of the I-864 form for each family member during the interview?

The lady behind window 2 at the American Consulate in Frankfurt asked me the same question when I was going for my interview 2 days ago. I answered that my wife who is the sponsor changed her job and on de DS-260 form was still the old job. That was not a problem she said. So, no need to upload new DS-260 form at https://ceac.state.gov/IV
