Huh? That would be strange to be most important considering you don't know your A-number yet when you come in on a K-1 visa. I only learned my A-number when I received the NOA's for my forms.

@Rachel n Tyler file everything in 1 envelope, use tabs and a cover letters and paper clips and anything else that would make your application a breeze for the USCIS officer to get through. I had covers for every separate form I filed, even for the envelopes with the personal checks. These covers were numbered and had a short list of what was included after that tab and how many pages it contained per form. Those numbered covers had a cover themselves right after my cover letter that stated all the numbers and description as a table of contents. In my OCD head that makes it easy for the officer to find documents and it certainly made it easier for me to make sure I had it all complete. Let me know when that doesn't make sense, I can send you the covers through WhatsApp. Also make sure you make a 1-on-one copy of what you send out in your package so you always know exactly what they have received.

We got Jaycel's A number on her I-129F NOA2 - So not strange at all

There is also updated guidance from USCIS regarding paperclips, staples, tabs, etc

Hahahahaha.... We are still using small binder clips to separate the three forms and their associated documents (I-485, I-864 & I-765) and to secure the checks and passport photos to it because I don't trust them opening it and not having stuff fall to the floor and get lost. LOL

Keep it to a minimum and they won't be annoyed too much!

I think so, but I'm not sure, I have it in a brown envelope from them right now, but I can't recall if that's what it came in

Not every embassy sends back the approved I-129F, just as an FYI!

Also, in our case, the A-Number was printed on the NOA2 (the I-797 acceptance notice for the I-129F). In the box that says "Beneficiary", it lists both an A-Number and his name. I would imagine that would be the same case for everyone? So for us we did have his A-Number before his visa was even issued, technically.

I second this. Every embassy is different. NOA2's are form letters though and should have the A-number for everyone.

I actually secured our K1 passport photos in a ziploc bag stapled to a letter size piece of paper at the back of the packet.. That way they weren't stapled (and they didn't have to mess with the staples) and less likelihood of them falling out and getting lost.
