You need to include credit card statements. If you use the authorized user card, it will show on the statement.

I'd recommend also opening joint savings and checking accounts. These are more useful and easier to read than statements for authorized users on credit cards.

If you don't like fees, you can open free accounts with Discover, Amex, Capital One and others.

Just wanted to add a little more to my evidence.

It's great evidence. I'm an Amex user myself. You will see authorized user on statement when the card is used. For months when there are no charges on authorized user card, you won't see their name on statement.

Okay. But how can I get the statement with both names?

It's kinda of confusing when I log onto the app to check the statement.

I want to know how I can get a print out with both names if possible

Authorized user and joint account holder are not the same.

Yes, I understand that it's not the same. I juar want to know how we can show that I am an authorized user on his American express account /credit card

When you are on the app right before the “make payment” button there is a statement and activity option. Click there and you can then click on the period you want to generate the statement

And as I mentioned, authorized user name only appears on statement if charges were made on authorized user card in that particular billing period @nikaM

The name won't appear in the address portion, just in the statement body. For that reason, while this could be helpful it's not as great as joint credit card or joint checking / savings.

It could help immigrant spouse credit score if they don't have a long history and US citizen spouse had a good credit score and history.

We do have a joint bank account. But since I have no ssn there is little that I can be added to here in Georgia because they won't add you to things like insurance, utility bills and more.

My spouse had his house before we met so there is no lease to add me onto.

this is the way to go. Apart from Amex as pointed out by @OldUser, other credit cards statement will not state the authorized user’s name anywhere. We included Amex statements but also included photocopies of other physical credit cards since they show the same card number, expiration dates and our names.
