Hi all,

I have a question and could find the answer that I want in previous topic.

I’m French in US (New York city) under a E-2 Visa and my girlfriend (Colombian) under a Student Visa. Her visa expires soon and I was planning to married her, well first cause I love her but also because I know that she can be under my E-2 Visa and it will be more easier for both of us if we do that than create her another visa.

My question is, how does that work ? Does it easy, what is the process after that we get the certificate ect. Ect.

To get a visa she will apply at a Consulate the same way you did. And she did to get a F1.

When does her current visa expire? You say ‘soon’, have you got time to get married and sort it? Don’t let her go out of status.
