My husband's interview is 10/29 and I was going over the list of what we need.  Are the tax transcripts the only thing to bring for the proof of income? Are pay stubs required as well?

Do we need him to have my children's original birth certificates? (my children already US citizens so I don't see why they're needed but this list is confusing?!). We do have 1 child together should he have his birth certificate with him since he is on it? and should it be the original as well if so?

Don't pick and choose.  He should bring the whole file that is directly related to his case.  His step children who are already US Citizens are not part of his immigration process.

Does he need the baby that is his birth certificate? He was born here in the US but he is on the bc…? I don’t understand what you mean by pick and choose what exactly do you mean?

His baby with the petitioner is part of his case.  He should have the whole file related to his case.  He needs nothing unrelated.  Your US Citizen children are not related to his case.

So he needs to have the original copy of our sons birth certificate with him at the interview?

An original "Certified Copy".  Original birth certificates are owned by government entities.

You don't have the original document, only original certified copy. Copy in this case, it's not a copy you made yourself. It's a copy provided by government. Bring the real document on your hand, not a photocopy you made of it.

I hope this helps.

I don’t mind giving them the original if that’s acceptable I just wanted to get it in the mail asap and don’t want to have to get a certified copy if I don’t have to just because time is of the essence now. I’m also not sure what I submitted for proof for our case I am I able to log into somewhere to print everything I submitted altogether?
sorry I’m being so needy …Everything is just a blur I have so much going on and it’s overwhelming I need it like written out in baby steps at this point I don’t know why I can’t even think straight- my child was hospitalized for a month and it’s totally got me a mess and unable to think straight and the upcoming interview is pushing me past my mental capacity 😩

they will keep anything he takes to the interview. Your child together - their birth certificate isn't required, but your husband can take it. Make sure he has your I-864, your tax transcripts, and anything he submitted to the NVC. They will also need an original marriage certificate, and you won't get it back.

They often do not look at anything additional. Also, you can just scan/email him the 864 and tax transcripts to print out. I presume he already has the original marriage certificate

Ohhh I understand you’re making it sound way more confusing now by saying I don’t have the original I thought you mistyped. By original I mean my original copy I thought that was implied since I’m not the government … trying to make it more confusing…?????

So if it’s not needed it should be okay to have a photocopy no? I just thought it would be good to have for proof of a bonafide marriage …

You need to send soft copy of your 2023 tax transcript, soft copy 2023 W2,  soft copy of Bills(any of electricity, water, telephone 1 month, registered to your residential address), soft copy of your pay slip(2 months should be ok), soft copy of your employment letter ,and soft copy of any government issued document you uploaded to NVC. Send the following hard copies to him: Original copy of your marriage certificate, original baby's birth certificate(as proof of relationship). He needs to do a photo collage pictures you both appeared in at different times and since your relationship started, print some of your chats, call logs and everything that proves your relationship is real and still existing. You can search the platform (VJ) for possible IV interview questions collated. You house address, employment/employer, your family background, your interests and hobbies.

I hope this helps

You are confused.  Yes, give him what you THINK is the original copy.  That's using different words.  I said original certified copy.

You would think you would explain more instead of being condescending because yes I’m still confused thank you for pointing that out publicly it’s really helpful
