Divorce Decree for K1 in Morocco Help

Hello!

My fiancé has his interview scheduled for December and I’m getting all of my documents together. I went to my courthouse to get a copy of my divorce decree. I paid to have it certified and it is marked as a ‘true copy of the original’ and signed by the Clerk of Court.

Now, I’m in a Morocco visa group on Facebook and another lady said the consulate stated the paper from the courthouse is only a copy and they want the original.

What in the world is it that I’m supposed to be sending for the interview? Am I wrong in thinking that the courthouse keeps the original for themselves?

Thank you in advance!
