Greeting Yall,

First, I would like to apologize if this question was asked before in the forum. Now that we got that out of the way, I am trying to maximize my chances to get picked in the DV lottery for this year. My wife, my kid and I have High school diploma. do we have to file jointly as one application? or can we file separately but adding other members of the family?

I hope I made myself clear. And thank you for your assistance in advance.

Cheers,

Ok. So you can all apply. But if your son gets selected you can’t be included in his application.

Good luck.

Thank you for your time answering my questions. just to be on the safe side, Should:

1. submit 3 applications, one for each and include my kid

2. submit an application, include my wife and kid, and my kid submit a separate application.

Please advise.

Thank you

That’s up to you. You’ve got less than 1% chance anyway so may as well submit 3 applications - assuming your son wants to and would be happy to move on his own of course.

Thank you @appleblossom for your time and sharing your knowledge. That's all I want to know.

cheers.

It's worth answering the question above though, as from your previous post you already had a green card a couple of years ago? That could be VERY relevant.
