I had a shoplifting case and is planning to apply for a US visa. Please help! :(

Hi! I'm planning to visit the U.S. for two weeks to see a loved one. However, I was convicted of shoplifting 11-12 years ago and served six months in jail. I haven’t had any issues since then. Do you think this could affect my U.S. visa application? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Assuming you are applying for a B2, so you will need to disclose any arrests or detainments on the DS160.  It could have an impact, hard to say for sure.
