Perfectly normal. It’s about 13-14 months for I-130’s to be approved so you’re still well within that time. Hopefully you’ll hear something early next year.

Good luck.

So it takes 13-14 month just for the approval? 🥺🥺 so the whole process with the interview takes like 2 years? 🥺

That would be a proper expectation, but for some countries there is a long wait for the interview due to backlogs.  Check your backlog for more information.

Yes, although as @pushbrk says each consulate has very different wait times for an interview. So it can vary between 18 months, to 3+ years, or anywhere in between.

Fellow December 2023 filer (9th) and I am still waiting also. We will be approved around January/February 25.

My priority date is Aug 25th 2023. Went in active review Aug 30th 5 days later. Still waiting. Just got an update that says your approval is any day now. I usually get an estimate date but this one just says any day now. W

"Active Review" does not mean what it sounds like.  It means you are in the queue for a human to spend about 20 to 30 minutes with your case, when it gets to the front of that queue.
