Filing a police report while waiting for N400

Would me filling a police report cause any issues with the wait or with my interview/approval? We have been having problems with a neighbor and today was his move out day, and coincidentally my car has a slashed tire. I ended up calling the police and filing a report, they asked if I would like to press charges and I said yes. The police said a detective would investigate the case.

Looking back now I'm not sure if I should have involved the police for something as small as a tire.

This has no effect on your N-400 whatsoever. As a resident of the US, you have every right to file a police report when you are the victim of a crime.

You're a victim and you won't to be punished when filing a police report.

However... If you, for example, punched the neighbor the day earlier and that's why he slashed the tire. That's a completely different story.

Nah, we previously had a disagreement because he wanted to borrow my car ???? I told him I would think about it but of course never got back to him. One day he stormed out of his house and started cursing me and my wife.

Wife called the cops but they didnt do anything, but this time since there was damage they took my name driver license and a statement on what happened.
