Hey all,

got the text acceptance of my i130 last week, and today I received an i797c, notice of action but it is not an acceptance notice. It says notice type account access notice…..should I be expecting another actual receipt notice? Should I be worried I got the account access before the receipt notice?

Yes you'll get another mail. There's nothing to worry about.

This is what I got. This is not the receipt notice, correct? Sorry I am just not sure and customer service made no real sense IMG_0692.thumb.jpeg.4ec97db4d9dbcddd46131dbb12182c37.jpeg

No, this is not a receipt notice.

Receipt notice will be printed on greenish watermarked paper.

Does this have case number? It's possible you can access your case online before other letter arrives.

Sometimes mails go different routes and USPS delivers one before the other, even USCIS sent them together.

Case number is covered by the hearts. The receipt number starts with 3 letters and then many numbers

already accessed the online portal, so far this is the only thing in the document tabs showing as mailed.

Awesome. So you're pretty much set. Just wait for physical letter which you should keep for your records.

What if I never get it…is it required in any way? I do not know if it matters much since I have online access now. When should I worry if it isn’t here by?

Sure, it can be asked by USCIS / other agencies at certain points in the process. It also proves you have a case. I would start worrying if it doesn't show up 8-10 weeks from filling.
