Up early to clean the house as we have company coming for the weekend. We are going to take our kids to Carowinds. I really hope we don't melt since it was 103 yesterday!!!!

It's going to be the first time for my little boy to go to Carowinds, so this ought to be really fun!

YES, finally FRIDAY!!!

Allousa, is Carowinds an amusement park? I did my cleaning last night, we having family over for a BBQ and swimming. I think the rain has come to its end!! ( the last 3 days felt like 110 deg and heavy rain off and on) The yard clean up was horrible-it looked like we were hit by a tornado! Have a great Friday everybody!

work...today's a real important day for us as the company I have to work for has to do a demo for a panel of people, and we were all there till 8:30 last night trying to iron it out and right now we're praying it doesn't hit the snags we hit last night. wee!

Just found out last night my fiance's going to the beach (he said near Alexandria but not exactly) for a couple days next week, lucky duck. I want to go to the beach!

Yeah. Carowinds is an amusement park on the border of North and South Carolina - hence the CARO in CAROwinds. Half of the park is on the NC side, and half is on the SC side. I grew up in SC, and it was a yearly ritual. We would drive north once to Carowinds, and drive south once to Six Flags in GA.

That's too bad that you had such a mess to clean up because of the weather. That is awful. I remember once, we had a very severe ice and hail storm and it destroyed a lot of things in our area. Tree limbs were falling everywhere, cars were dented and destroyed, it was a big mess.

YAY FRIDAY! I have a job interview at 10:00. Actually, not really an interview.....I have the job if I want it......we're just ironing out all the details. As of yesterday the company didn't want to pay me exactly what I'm wanting. BUT this company has tons of benifits so it would all weight out in the end. Just going to check it out!

Allousa, have fun at carowinds! I was just thinking about how long it's been since I've been there. I would love to take Amed, so maybe we'll try to go one weekend sometime soon. Let us know if there are any cool new rides.

Aymerlu, congrats on the job interview! I hope you're able to talk them up on the salary.

I just put in my notice yesterday. I'm leaving the office I've worked for ever since I got out of college. I was offered a job at another firm making a good bit more money, and I know I'd never get that here. It was very sad to tell my boss, because she's become a good friend. I've had butterflies in my stomach all week, and just felt sick. I feel like a load has been lifted now that I've told her. I'm looking forward to a new beginning, but it seems like a lot of things are changing for me lately....

Oh well, anyone got any good plans for the weekend? I want to go swimming, and go see The Bourne Ultimatum. Other than that, I'll just be trying to stay cool. It's been miserably hot here all week, with no real end in sight.

Hey Jasman,,,,it's PAYDAY! First thing I did when I opened my eyes, was to run to my bank site and see my deposit.

Ok that dancin thing is not really reflective of my mood. Like the yahoo hug thing on messenger....nice hug,,but stuipd smile. Have I lost my mind completly? I am analyzing smiles.

Back to the direct deposit....IT'S THERE! Just paid a ton of bills online, what a good feeling. Not going to get a kitten, I will embrace my fish when I need attention. Gonna be hard to catch that platy, she is not a touchy-feely kind of fish.

How can I shop when I have to work ALL weekend? ahhhhh Ebay Hope you all have a good weekend, while I am slaving at my desk. Kelly, come see me,,,,I have something VERY interesting to tell you.

Cowpens, Mayo, Chesnee, Boiling Springs, Moore, Duncan, Greer.....you name it, I inhabited it. Just thought those names sound weird, huh? I lived in Cowpens for 11 years. They have an annual MIGHTY MOO FESTIVAL!! teehee

I checked my deposit too. I thought we might get our new pay raise this cycle but no such luck. Oh well, there will more money in the retro bucket.

I'm here. Just finished my monthly close meeting so that's a load off. Gonna make some changes and then go home in an hour or so.

I wanted to see that Bourne movie too but found out I have the kids this weekend since the ex is off racing somewhere so I think I'll take them to Daddy Day Camp. Looks like it's funny and I'm craving movie theater popcorn lately. Other than that I'm going to s-l-o-w-l-y clean my house without overexerting myself. I know I should just be in bed but it's bugging me that I have tons of laundry to do still. (that and I'm running out of clean cothes to wear )

Sounds like we have a few career changes going on here. Good luck everyone!!! I know also how hard it is to leave a job you've been at for a while. I was here for ten years when I left to go work at a University but after a year I came back and was lucky enough to have my service bridged so now I get the benefits of having worked here for 11 1/2 years which is cool. For me I had to venture out to see what I was missing but sometimes it can be for the best too.
