did you ever analyzed your manila case number? u think that it has a significance with your interview date?

check this out..

Manila Case Number is a 13-digit Code given to the applicant who already got the NOA2 & pass the NVC check.

Its format starts with 3 letter which are MNL and the number starts with the year such as 2007xxxxxx.

When I tried to check my own manila case number, it seems that the number itself has something to do with the interview date..this can be furtherly proven by the previous applicants who already had their interview...

Manila Case Number = Year of Application, Month of NOA2, Date of Interview

Example..

If your application is under the year 2007, you got your NOA2 in the month of June & your interview date is on Aug 30..therefore your manila case number would be..

MNL2007680030

For NOA2 that falls on the 4th quarter of the year, it might be like this...

Example: 2006 - year of application, NOv- month of NOA2 & interview date of Mar 13, therefore manila case number might be..

MNL2006113013

nice but it doesnt apply to us either... although the # that comes next to 2007 is 6 (noa 2) but the rest doesnt apply.... Case # is 2007669*** and we have a september interview.

Obviously the 2006 is the year the case number was assigned

113 is the julian date. Many of the K-1 cases are assigned by julian date plus 500 so it could be 613

013 is the 13th case assigned to Manila on that julian date

Julian date is a numeric value for each day of the year. January 1 is 1, August 10 of this year is 222 so December 31 would be 365.

This is an NVC thing to add 500 the the julian date, I think it keeps it separate from other visas. I can't remember specifically but maybe the K-3 just use the Julian date and I think some others also just use the Julian date.

If the number after the year is between 1 and 365 then it is only using the Julian date. The last three numbers should be where you case was assigned for that day. Again, if it was 013 your case would be the 13th assigned.

The whole number, MNL2007XXXXXX is the case number. The last three digits is where your case was assigned for that day. If you are 012, for example, that means 11 other cases were assigned to Manila that day before yours.

No, the julian date is the specific day of the year, 1 thru 365 + 500) that the NVC assigned the Manila case number. For example, if the NVC processed your case on the 2nd of January that number would be MNL2007502XXX

got it....

meaning, the next 3 digits after the year is the julian date of which the Manila Case Number was given to the specified application + 500..

i think thats make sense in our own manila case number..
