The Physical Interview takes place at the US Embassy in Manila.

Yes, I'm aware, but the petition approval is USCIS which is what I assume you meant when you said 90 days? So nothing to do with Manila.

Actually it does, K1 visa from Philippines tend to get approved much faster (NOA2) than many other parts of the world, Been that way for decades.

I see people on US Embassy In Manila FB page crying about waiting for interview spots for CR1 from 2022, they should of done a K1 visa instead.

Ah, you're talking about the wait for an interview? The processing time for the I-129f is the same regardless of country, it's the wait after that that differs.

Nope Processing time for a K1 from Philippines usually moves much faster compared to other countries. Processing times means from submiting your K1 to your actual approval which some call a NOA2.

Nope. That’s the I-129f, not the K1 visa application. And I-129f’s are processed by USCIS so the country isn’t relevant at that point. Which is why the threads in the K1 forum are general ones by date and people are approved in date order regardless of where they’re from.

Only once it gets to the NVC stage does the country make a difference, and that’s when it can be quicker or slower depending on consulate.

Wrong again.

K1 from Philippines have generally been approved faster than many other countries, and guess what back when I did mine you either went to the Texas Service Center or the California Service Center and around 2015 the California service center was approving much faster than Texas.  My buddy got approved in 9 days which is the fastest I have ever seen, mine took like 31 days

Have you done a K1?

Have you done a K1 from Philippines?

I have been directly or indirectly related to 5 K1 from Philippines over the past 2 decades, back when you had to hand type the application.

What is your personal experience with K1 from Philippines?

So you’re basing this on experience from a decade ago? 😂

Just pop over to the K1 forums and that’ll give you up to date info. I-129f’s for Filipinos are processed at exactly the same rate as those from every other country. They’re only processed at one service center now.

Yes, I am basing my own actual experience, thus why I gave the background material. I heard they were now processed at one service center now, but that is a change recenlty.  I can remember when Texas Service or Vermont Service Center was the fast processing center and if you went to California it was the slow center.  Things change and evolve , you just got to deal with it.

California service center has been processing I-129F petitions for years. This is not new at all.

Not that it's exactly relevant  to OP but just to set some misinformed comments:

Also USCIS approval speed has absolutely nothing to do with country of beneficiary...

Hypothetically - Imagine how much time it would add to the processing lengths if they opened every case to sort/divided via country. Lol.

The reason it could appear that way is because the amount of i-129f beneficiary that come from the Philippines is huge.  In combination with the very fast approval times seen between the end of April and now.

But it isn't just Philippines based beneficiaries, in general i-129f petitions have seen short approval times in recent months, however this always changes. USCIS has slowed down and sped up a lot in 2024.

All i-129f go to CSC unless the petitioner has a criminal history related to the Adam Walsh Act, then it goes to Vermont. Only other reason for i-129f to go to others is because it has been deemed outside of normal processing time and gets transfer to a different one to get processed.
