Hey everyone. On Wednesday, I went in for my n400 naturalisation interview while also having my 751 waiver pending. My lawyer did state on my application cover letter that my 751 was pending and requested both be handled in the same interview, but the officer was unaware of it.

She did review the 751, and recommended it to be approved but did not have access to do it herself within the system (she did attempt to login twice). She then proceeded to conduct the n400 and I passed, along with giving me the document stating that I did, and told me the only thing holding it up is the 751 approval which should not be longer than Friday. My lawyer did ask her if I had to come back in and the officer said no, and I did have to update my photo because my original photo from biometrics had been taken from over 6 years ago.

I know today is only Saturday, but I’m kind of in my head about this especially after waiting nearly 4 years for the 751 to be processed. Has anyone else been in the same spot, and how long did they have to wait? Any insight would be so appreciated

This is pretty normal. I-751 needs to be approved before N-400 can be approved. N-400 approval on a spot is less likely when I-751 is pending and even less likely with waiver for I-751.

The good news is, if you don't hear from USCIS within 120 days from the interview, you can sue them for decision.
