I'm quite sure this has been asked before and I have searched the forum without sucess.................

It's my understanding that I don't have to fill in that form just the Customs declaration. Could someone let me know....I'd be very grateful ! Thank You !

Hi wodge -- fellow 19 June visa success story! Yup, you don't need an I-94 with an IR1/CR1, just the customs form which you both fill out as a family.

Best wishes for a safe journey home!

This may sound like an equally dumb question, but do UKC and USC go through the same line for first time entry? CO at my interview told me I had to go through the visitors line before being taken off for processing..... Too many things going on in my head today.... :bonk:

I've heard several different ways -- both through visitors, both through USC line, and USC through USC line/UKC through visitors line. I think it may depend on which POE you have.

I went through the USC line at Portland with my wife when we came in using my visa.

At SFO and LAX I have also been allowed to use the USC line when my wife and I were just visiting. In fact the first time we went through SFO she went to the USC line and I went to the unwashed line. I was standing waiting when a rather large lady wearing immigration uniform and a gun grabbed me by the collar and loudly said "You're in the wrong god dam line" and marched me to were my wife was at a desk being processed.

What to expect at the POE - WIKI entry

LOL, nothing like the love of an immigration officer.

Yes I've also been told off for going in a separate line to my wife. At the time I was travelling on H-1B so I naturally thought the CBP officer wouldn't want me in the US Citizen line. Boy did that make them mad!

Of course, with a Green Card you can just go in the US Citizen line every time. ;)

When I arrived at Boston with my IR1 visa and my three USC kids (all under 7) I was told by the immigration officer that we all had to go through the non-USC line together.

When my husband had asked about it a few weeks earlier at the same airport he'd been told we should all go through the USC line together.

I think it's just how they feel on the day...
