hello, i just have a question about this process.

After we made the payment, upload all documents to NVC, they review and schedule the appointment with embassy in our country? is this the process and how it works?

OR

Do we contact embassy to schedule our interview after NVC accepts our documents?

Once you're DQ'ed, NVC will schedule your interview for you and inform you of when it is. Your case will then be passed over to the consulate. Wait time for the interview letter (which actually comes by email) varies hugely depending on consulate, it could be just a couple of months if it's one of the quicker consulates, or a couple of years, or anywhere in-between.

by dq, you mean nvc verifies and accepts documents we upload to their portal right?

 

So basically, 1) we pay fees, 2) we upload documents and then we just wait for NVC to verify and schedule the interview for us.

 

and all of this happens on their website. no pyhsical mails, no emails. we just upload documents on the same website we pay fee

 

are all of this true?

Depends on the type of visa you're applying for - which is why we need your timeline filled in!

our i-130 just approved, we are filing green card through counselor process.

wife is married to me(us citizen)

does this change anything?

Applied in June 2023,

Approved: August 2024

NVC letter: September 2024

Location: Albany new york

Visa/Counselor location: Albania
