RFE For I-864 (AOS) - Documents for Response?

NOTE: AOS Adjusting from K-1.

I received an RFE shortly after my I-485 (AOS) submission regarding Form I-864. After reviewing the documents USCIS scanned to my online account, I quickly identified that I neglected to include the last page of Form I-864 (as I did not need space for additional information) and thus shows up as "MISSING PAGE" in their system.

I plan to address this omission and include a fully complete I-864 with my RFE response but I'm confused about the following. In my RFE it says to:

"Submit a complete copy of the petitioning sponsor's Federal income tax return, including all supporting tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, Form 2555, and tax schedules) filed with the return, for the most recent tax year."

In my original submission I provided IRS tax transcripts for the past three years, as well as three years' worth of 1040's and W2's. Should I provide the same financial documentation or *only *the tax transcripts as requested?

TIA!

Only what was requested.

You submitted duplicates of the same document.

1. A 1040 is not a complete tax return. All pages and schedules of the federal return IS.

2. If you had wanted to submit a complete federal tax return and the earning statements reported on it ie W2 or 1099, youd submit THAT not both the above AND transcripts

Sounds like you have a strict Adjudicator who called you out for not following the "OR" in the instructions.

Ensure you reread them and scour BOTH the many threads on GENERIC I864 RFEs and your forms to clear up any mistakes you may have.

Also ENSURE the financial data you enter into your I864 MATCH WHICHEVER of the two options of tax documents you chose to submit.

That's likely why you got an RFE too.

They aren't going to fish through a pile of unnecessary financial documents to figure out where you got your numbers from on the I864.

Submit the EXACT documents that you used to fill in the boxes on your form.

The LESS proof the better.

 QUALITY over quanity.

That's helpful, thank you. It's hard to not go overboard with providing supporting documents but that makes sense when you put it that way.
