I’m looking for a thread here for those who have filed the I-130 and I-485 for a parent who is already in the U.S.?

USCIS (IL) received the I-485 on 9/25. I filed the I-130 online on 8/25.

Became a citizen 6/2024. Now filing for my mother.

About 12-14 months for I-130 approval going on current timescales.  And the process after that is set out step by step here - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html

Good luck.

I filed my I-130 on 8/25. I just checked online and the myprogress tab says 5 months. I haven’t received a receipt for the i485 but the check was deposited on 10/1 so fingers crossed by mom gets at least an A number soon.

The estimates are pretty unreliable. Plus I-130 is good, but I-485 is what really matters for GC. The processing time on I-485 may be longer.
