Always tell the truth and answer questions directly. I don't know if doing it through a web site complicates things, but for people from cultures where arranged marriage is customary it's not a red flag itself. So, since both familes were involved, and it's culturally traditional for both families, you shouldn't have to worry about the arranged aspect of it. Perhaps someone can comment on whether or not the website would be seen as strange... My instinct is to say that it wouldn't be.

I'll stress again though - always tell the truth.

The answers you gave as you introduced your question seemed sufficient to me for 1-3 above. You know the answer to 4. Tell the truth.

Jatin,

Say the truth. You met via internet. Your families know each other through meeting several times before marriage. Yes, it was an arranged marriage. Tell how long you know your wife.

I got married last year (Sept) to a US citizen also (my wife is from PA). We knew each other 2.5 months before deciding to marry in India. It was not arranged marriage through parents, we found each other through internet also. We agreed to marry through Arya Samaj, and our families have not met yet (mine are in India, hers are in PA). We're hoping my parents come to visit next year so everyone can meet.

If you have any other questions on consulate interview (mine) in Delhi, please feel free to write again.

Vinod
