Hi guys.

My parents' interview is scheduled for next month at the Lagos embassy, in Nigeria. As a petitioner (US Citizen) who resides also in the state, what documents should I mail them for the interview purpose? Also, are the documents supposed to be photocopied of the original or the original documents? I am kind of scared to mail my original US passport and other necessary documents to overseas. Any suggestions from those who have gone through the process will be highly appreciated.

They will have a full list of required documents on their interview letter.

My question was whether I should mail my original documents (passport, etc) to them in Nigeria or just mail a copy of those originals.

As I said, the checklist will tell you what needs to be originals. But usually you need to take originals of all the documents that were uploaded to NVC.
