Hi,

I  had immigrant visa interview at Montreal today. It was denied as I overstayed my visa for 10 years. I left US in 2017 , so its been 7+ years since i left US.

consular officer asked me to file I-601.

Does anyone here had  I-601 approved recently? When was it filed? How long did it take?

i am trying to understand the processing times.

my attorney told me 18 months but online it shows 28 months.

Thanks.

i was going to say 2 years but future times could be quicker or slower.

Or wait it out.
