My case will be adjudicated any day now

I would still be cautious with this and just consider the very real possibility that you don't. Some people wait several months even after a request for initial evidence has been received.

With these processes it's best to try not to have too many expectations in regard to hearing back and time frames.

Good luck!

Fair point.   I see where the USCIS has skipped over an entire week of cases back in Feb.  They are now processing those cases now.  I will not buy any airplane tickets etc until we get approved.  Thanks for the advice.

Yeah , I was originally from that skipped period and got lucky when I was approved aug 23, someone from the same day as me only just got approved yesterday so the difference can be huge, others are still waiting from Jan and February too, its very hit or miss and unknown haha.

Also you can book tickets if you're visiting of course - I personally am going on a short visit tomorrow to see my fiance in the US, but just wouldn't recommend making plans for your actual visa or actual permanent move yet.

I got approved Aug 23 and sent to department of state October 7th, only just on the 16th Oct did NVC receive my case. It'll probably be December by the time my interview is and that is optimistic side of it, so it can really vary how long things take.

Good luck!
