Visa denied, told to apply "in the future"

Back in 2015 I was being invited to Chicago by someone and last minute he changed mind after I booked flight and it was non refundable I got upset and told him some stupid things he reported me to some agency and my visa got revoked. I wasn't trying for visa until now, they told me that they can't give me right now and I should apply in the future. I asked if I can get waiver of inadmissibility but they said I'm not inadmissible and I'm not banned so I don't really understand, do you think maybe if I try next year I'd get it because it will be 10 years or will it not matter and I will keep getting denied? Also if I tried to ge different visa category let's say I found work on cruise ship or I won green card lottery would they still not let me in or is it just for the tourist visa?

The vast majority of B visa denials are due to not being able to demonstrate strong ties to home country.  Other than re-applying, there is really no way to know what they will do.  Good luck.

Which visa did you have that was cancelled?

Where are you from?

They think you’re going to try to work/ overstay.   The onus is on you to demonstrate this isn’t the case on future applications.

Future visa chances depend on exactly what I’ve just said, as well as the terms of the visa you’re trying to get.

There are many reasons ESTA can be refused, criminal record is only one of them. You'll be asked about previous visas/visits as part of your application, which may also affect it. But you can certainly apply and see what happens.

If it really was terrorism there would be no waiver

I don't know if bs threats on facebook are terrorism it was also 9 years ago now as well but I guess anything is possible.  I asked explicitly if I'm inadmissible or banned forever and they said not, wouldn't I be inadmissible on the grounds of terrorism then? They told me to apply in future so I don't understand this.

As said above, the only way to know for sure is to apply. So give it a go and let us know how you get on, good luck.

ESTA? Ok, so now you need to apply for a B.

Your timeline is getting lost in translation. Please clarify if I misunderstood

1. 2015 you were approved for a B1/B2 visitor visa. Your “ friend” changed his mind about hosting you so you posted facebook threat. Embassy revoked your visa.

2. Have you recently applied for another B1/B2 visa and got denied?

I want to point out your Ex Friend may have reported MORE details than the facebook skirmish, embassy just did not share that info w you.…and this negative information remains in your record permanently.

For example, were you and the fellow in a romantic /dating relationship? Can’t imagine a perfect platonic stranger inviting you over.  He could have told them you intended to come to the US to work or …something other than a little vacation.

No matter that years have passed, they likely will never give you a tourist OR non immigrant visa ( most work visas including C1/D crew for a ship) …if the details your friend reported hinted at immigrant intent .

If you ever marry a USC or win the DV lottery , then you won’t have any problems getting that immigrant visa.

So what do YOU think your old friend could have said to them?

I don’t really understand what you’re asking then. You seem to have no clue what actually happened 9 years ago so why not just try? Then at least you’ll know one way or the other.
