Mine was approved 1 day before you, if I hear anything, I'll let you know! Seems like our timelines are pretty similar. Hopefully seeing the others who have been sent to NVC means we will be there shortly too.

I have a status notification from USCIS today . And it’s for the case has sent to DOS . The question is how do I get my case ID ?
“On September 25, 2024, we sent your case, Receipt Number WACXXXXXX , to the Department of State for visa processing. You can find general information on Consular Processing by visiting our website at www.uscis.gov . The website will provide information on what to do next, who to contact, and how to inform us of any changes in your situation or address”

Where did you find the USCIS status update?

I’m in the same boat. NOA2 approved August 30th. Submitted an inquiry to NVC and they said they have not received it yet.

I sent the inquiry 9/29. They responded today. Do you think it would be worthwhile sending them a copy of my I-797?

I would send that on your next inquiry in the attachment section of the inquiry form. I would inquire again on Monday Oct 7th. I would also recommend stating in the inquiry something like this, "Also, please confirm that you have the correct email addresses for myself and my beneficiary. The correct email addresses are (then give them both of your email addresses)" This will ensure that the NVC and later the embassy have your correct emails. I did this in my second inquiry to NVC and after that my fiancee and I both received all the emails from that point forward all the way to the email that the embassy sent after the visa was issued with instructions on how to handle the yellow packet that was returned with her passport/visa.

NVC is currently working on 9/16 cases and my NOA2 notice date was 8/31.

Notice date and case sent to the Department of State date are 2 different things.

I got my noa2 on August 23 and I'm still waiting. 6 weeks tomorrow.

The dates on the NVC website where they are working on are cases that have been received by them.

They won't have received it if USCIS hasn't even sent it yet.

Currently it's around 5 weeks after approval date to actually get sent to department of state.

2 weeks from the day your case updates as "case sent to state" you can do PI and see if they have it.

I really appreciate the advice. I will try that. I haven’t received an email updates. They have all been via paper mail so far.
