I originally obtained my LPR status based on entering on a K1 visa (Fiancé' visa) and subsequently marrying my US citizen husband. This was about 18 years ago. We are still married and live together with our children.

It is now time for me to submit form N-400 and I am wondering if I should base this on "General Provision" or "Married to US citizen"? Does it matter? Can I apply under General Provision even though I got my GreenCard based on marriage to a US citizen or would that be wrong to do? I don't want to do anything that would get me in trouble.

Thanks.

Yes.  Apply under 5 year rule (General Provision).  It requires less evidence and scrutiny.

This is all we had to submit for wife:

5 years Tax transcripts
Proof of my 1st marriage Termination
Proof of Wife's 1st Marriage Termination
Copy of Wife's Green Card
Our Marriage Certificate

Agreed.

If I were to choose, I'd pick GP.

Hi. Are these documents submitted in your application or are these required on the interview? I'm getting ready to apply under General Provision and want to have everything gather before I start. I just created my USCIS account online. Also, my IRS account only shows 4 years of return transcript records. Thank you.

Yes, we submitted all these with the online application.
