@appleblossom How do we receive the Invitation letter from US embassy at London? is it via post or email? Did you get any confirmation of IL from NVC? Thanks

@EB1Aspirant You got your DQed?

Expand

Hi @banang yes I got DQ'd few mins ago - but the NVC has mentioned they will work with US consulate in Mumbai and not London to schedule visa interview.
We live in U.K. and are Indian citizens.

@appleblossom any idea if we can request NVC to change the embassy location?

Yes, you can, follow the instructions here and provide evidence of residency in the U.K. to do it - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/national-visa-center/immigrant-visas-processing-general-faqs.html#ivp13

What consulate did you put on your I-140?

It’s sent via email, and comes from NVC, not the consulate.

@EB1Aspirant thanks. When is your PD? For Indian citizens, your PD should be before 1st Feb 2022 to get an interview invitation, aren't you?

All,

I got my interview date today - scheduled at Mumbai Consulate on Feb 13th - although I've asked NVC to reschedule to London (awaiting reply).

It was pretty quick response from NVC to schedule my interview date - within a week!

DQ on 18th Dec

Thanks for the update. I'm still waiting for the IL, perhaps London embassy still has backlogs.

@appleblossom How do we know where our document is? I've checked at CEAC, it's still saying "at NVC", not at the Embassy/Consulate. Thanks

Then that’s where it is. It won’t say it’s at the consulate until you’re at interview stage - mine changed to ‘in transit’ just before I got my IL.

Good luck.

Interview Letter received yesterday for an interview in London on 3rd February. I'm EB-1A, I was DQ on 19th Nov and made a transfer from Paris to London on 2nd Dec which was confirmed on 5th Dec. I share my full timeline in this other thread's post for all the info.
Good luck to everyone.
