Filing an inquiry about LOI (Letter of Interview)

Hello,

I guess I am in need of little cheering up to do.

Timeline:

  • 1. Our case sent to NVC: May 13, 2024
  • 2. Our case documentarily qualified: June 6, 2024.

Which dates do NVC look at for establishing timeline to letter of interview?  1st date or 2nd date?

Which brings me to my next question.  Both days have now surpassed the 90 day mark.  Should I go ahead and file public inquiry for updates on my case?

Thank you for all your SUPPORT!

Sincerely, Imili

1.  DQ date

2.  You just have to wait until your case reaches the top of the queue.

NVC will schedule the interview based on Consulate availability for interviews: it is not up to NVC, but it is the consulate that decides when they have open slots for interviews.

As @Crazy Cat said, you just have to wait it out

The wait for a spouse visa interview in Casablanca is currently about 6 months. We have a FB group for Morocco/US specific issues and there are people who were DQ in April 2024 still waiting for interview.

Y'all!  You won't believe this!  We just got the email from NVC!  Our interview is set up for Nov 29th!

This is a BIG relief!

Thank you for your support.

need to jump now on getting the medical appointment right away.

the medical offices run a very heavy schedule and can take months to get an appointment.

You want to get the medical done BEFORE the interview to avoid any other delays.

make sure your spouse has originals of your US documents like the 1 864,  photo copy of US DL to show US residency,  your IRS transcripts with any W2's and 1099's.   and any others that the packet will state

My thoughts exactly.

Husband called. Said EVERYTHING is booked Oct and Nov.  His interview is on 29th of Nov.  He is thinking of going there in person to make appointment at one of 3 approved offices.

This brings to next question: When does he sign up for UStraveldoc to pick up his packet?

He got his appointment with Dr. El Fihri on Nov 4th and the interview is Nov 29th.

The fee online says $700 dirham.  But it cost extra for other exams: Xray, TB, and etc.  So I am guessing $300 USD
