Listing University Address on DS-260

Hi there - 

 

I was curious if it is necessary to list university addresses on DS-260? My husband did not list his university address, as he said he never officially changed his address anywhere for any sort of legal purpose (driver's license address always stayed the same, for example). And naturally, he always went home (where he lived before and after uni) for summer/winter break. His school was ~2.5 hrs away from his home - so not as though he moved abroad or anything. Would this be considered a temporary address? Or should he bring an updated DS-260 with him to his interview containing university addresses? 

 

We've DQ'd since June 28th. So beginning to overthink every little thing.

He is meant to put physical addresses of where he stayed for long periods of time.

 

If he officially studied and lived there, he should have put in on DS-260.

 

There's no penalty for stating the truth, there's no need to match the answers to address on DL he should have updated...

 

What is he going to say if during interview officer would ask:

 

"Your school was 2.5 hrs away, did you commute every day while studying"?

 

Just answer questions directly and literally. Not to fit some "official" versions of truth.

I realize now since looking up more info since posting this he should have put it. Honest mistake. I understand it’s not possible to update DS-260 without the NVC reopening it for you. But it’s also very normal to not update online & just inform the officer in person, as the NVC may just advise this over re-opening. Thanks for your response.
