I130 as a LPR now Citizen

I filled my petition for spouse visa on july 14 2023. I became US Citizen on Aug 08 24. I called USCIS and asked them to change the status in California Service Center. I havent heard anything back from them. I wanted to know if I can expedite the whole process to get my wife here faster. She is a student in Australia, and her visa is about to expire on November. I dont want her to get through the PTE and visa adjustment in Australia because of financial and other burdens. I would rather bring her here after she finishes over there. Is this a good enough reason for expediting the case? I wanted more opinion before I jump into USCIS and give out the information

If you notified USCIS after you naturalized you should be fine (actually USCIS should automatically change from F2A to IR1).  As to expediting the process, you can try, but I would not hold my breathe.

Relevant criteria or circumstances that may be considered in determining whether to grant an expedite request include, but are not limited to, the below:

• Severe financial loss to a company or person, provided that the need for urgent action is not the result of the petitioner’s or applicant’s failure to timely file the benefit request or to timely respond to any requests for evidence;

• Clear USCIS error.

Becoming a US Citizen will not speed up the USCIS portion of the process, but may speed up the NVC and onward portions.  Hopefully, there are no children coming, that don't have their own separate petitions.  We see this often.
