Lol I suppose I get that all things considered. Here's hoping you're right. I can live with waiting another month if it comes down to it but doing both Christmas And New year without the better half will hurt. :(

Let's hope they're just a touch behind with the notifications of interview, rather than the actual scheduling of the interviews!

Waiting sucks but we'll get there. I just hope it's today we here, makes for an agonising weekend otherwise 😂

Definitely know what you mean. Good to have the support here from everyone - we know we're all in the same boat waiting!! :)

It's still pretty early in the day for the NVC, so I'm still holding my breath a little bit today. What time of day did others get their interview notifications? Was it first thing or is it pretty variable?

Mine was sent at 6:58 am! I am assuming it was auto-scheduled rather than sent by someone working in the middle of the night.

Hmmm, not sure how to interpret this. Does it mean just expedite do you think or are we still unaffected? Not feeling so optimistic anymore after being teased with the prospect of actually hearing something so I'm just gonna work on the assumption that I'll hear about my damn interview sometime in the year 3241. 😕

It means that mission critical visas like the CR1/IR1 are still being processed. It's not bad news. Keep positive. Good luck!

Thanks! I had a sudden panic and was imagining "mission critical" to mean for people much more essential than most spouses, but I haven't received any emails to say otherwise, so fingers crossed! I am taking the words "continue to" as a positive sign, rather than "change to" :)

Hi, new to the forum so sorry if I'm asking a repeat question.

I have not seen my wife since Dec 9th last year (she is the American, I'm in UK). We have been apart for the majority of our five-year relationship as I was deemed ineligible for a tourist visa as they knew I was in a relationship with a US citizen. I was told by NVC that they had accepted all my paperwork and were scheduling an interview on September 1.

Does anybody know roughly how many months it is taking these days to finally get an interview?

My wife and I are suffering horribly from depression. My wife is vomiting every day from the anxiety. She also just lost her apartment and needs to move out, and my landlord is selling my apartment too. So we are both faced with having to find new places to live, on new leases, in two apartments without any idea of how much longer we have left to wait. It is shocking that the embassy is refusing to give people in this situation, as I'm sure many of you are, any idea of how long to expect. We cannot even plan. My wife is also in her late 30s and we've been waiting for years to have children and now running out of time. I just despair with this process.

I am wondering if this is going to take another year? I know that the MRV fee is being extended to December 2021. And, soon enough, I am probably going to have to apply for a new police certificate as it expires after six months. I cannot believe the embassy cannot even give us a timeline, or perhaps do interviews via Skype.

Anyway, I hope everybody gets a timely interview and ultimately succeeds. If anybody has any idea of roughly how many months from "DQ" (as I think it's called?) to interview day, I would greatly appreciate your advice so I can have an idea of how to plan our life...

Best

Jack
