Just so y'all know, received my passport today at about 12 midday. Also received the news that my wife tested positive for covid. She's asymptomatic, and believe me my main concern is with her health, but alas - this will probably set us back another week or so. Should still make it in time for Christmas but... Meh. Not great news. Thankfully my test came back negative even though I still feel a little #######, but I think my symptoms may have been some kind of acute stress comedown (I really did feel rotten though, and i got swine flu at the same time as having 2 broken ribs so believe me I know what rotten feels like 😂

Anyways, tl;dr: interview on 7th, 221g asking me to upload spouse 2019 1040, uploaded straight away, passport arrived on 10th.

Oh no I’m so sorry to hear about your wife!! That’s such bad timing. Still, I’m glad to hear the passport arrived promptly! And thank you for keeping us posted on your timeline. It’s so encouraging for those of us with upcoming appointments to see people getting their passports back in just a few days. I hope your wife gets better very soon, and I hope you find some relief from your symptoms!

Can the next person who has their interview please ask the staff when the next batch is? I'm sure it's sometime soon but I'm getting alil anxious lol.

DQ'd 28th October so not too far behind you! Hoping there were some August and September people who heard back today but it's so quiet I'm wondering if not! Where did you get the number of interviews? That's so awesome, would love to know the November number / keep track. Good luck to all Aug and Sept people!

Actually last month the appointments were dished out on the Friday morning after the 2nd thursday of the month (which is tomorrow morning!), so I'm hoping they hand out appointments to the remainder of the August DQs and as much of September DQs as possible, fingers crossed, giving us a strong chance of getting in for a February '21 interview. Here's the link to the CR1 London Embassy interview numbers, nothing for November yet - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html - scroll down to towards the bottom for 2020 and it's the doc referenced like this for each month "October 2020 - IV Issuances by Post and Visa Class' and scroll through the doc to London & CR1 numbers month by month ;)

Based on last month, there's a strong chance it could be tomorrow morning. Check back on this thread to see if there's any happy people reporting tomorrow, we will be for sure!

At this stage it can become very anxious and unbearable. There is just no guessing how this system works. There is a very good chance Interview dates may filter tomorrow.

It was Friday Nov 13th when we received our emails for December interviews.

Good luck guys x

Hey everyone! My guess is no appointments were sent out this morning? We were DQ'd on 18th Aug so we're expecting our appointment today, but alas, nothing! Keeping my fingers crossed for Monday though! ☺️

I’m feeling really discouraged right now, our expedite request was denied by the embassy, they’ve said they will review our documents soon. So - what does soon mean? How long did you guys wait between uploading and processing? How long did you have to wait between the documents being accepted and getting your interview? Sorry if this has been answered I’m on mobile and running after a 1 year old - it’s hard to find answers lol. Just hoping this will all be taken care of for hubby before my re entry permit runs out

This process is certainly mysterious! I think at the best of times it's hard to predict exactly, but covid has added a lot of extra uncertanity. Is your application at USCIS or NVC? Have you been DQ'd from NVC and told you are now awaiting your embassy interview to be scheduled? Over the last few months, it seems roughly to be about a 4 - 6 month wait from the time you get your DQ email from NVC to your interview. It's super hard waiting, I hope you get some movement soon!

Things have been so unpredictable following cancellations back in March. Seems everytime we think there's a bit of a pattern emerging, things stop moving.

If you're past the USCIS petition stage and your documents are at NVC, this webpage can be helpful to give you an idea of where NVC are with reviewing documents submitted to them in the first instance, I didn't find it helpful when we had to resubmit a document after ours had been initially reviewed: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

We waited from May to July for our documents to be reviewed and then become Documentarily qualified (DQ). We then waited from July to November to have our interview scheduled in December so from DQ to interview like @KathB said, 4 - 6 months is about correct if you are processing through NVC

We also submitted an expedite request in mid October (I think) and that was denied, it did take until November to get that outcome.

I hope some of that is helpful at least in terms of informing a little. It is such a challenging time, I know - just keep hanging in there. We are all wishing and hoping for swift processing for you and everyone else still waiting!

Did you receive anything?

Not yet! 😅 Trying not to get too stressed over it, but the unpredictability of it all is maddening! Hoping for tomorrow, but it may not be until Thursday or Friday if it's staying in theme with the days people received their interview in the past. As this channel has been pretty quiet again today, I'm assuming no one has received anything either which I guess is a good thing! Still a chance to be in this batch! Fingers crossed.

It’s actually crazy that they don’t give any kind of current estimated waiting time.

Like, why not do what the NVC does and say which dates are currently being reviewed? Or at least give some sort of updated wait time once per month.

What harm could that possibly do??? Especially if they included some language like “we won’t respond to wait time queries sent before X date” so they’re not flooded with emails if someone is a day past their estimated wait period.

Honestly, this process if far more opaque than it needs to be.
