Hiya! It was my understanding that IR1/CR1 visas were just sent an interview date without selecting one themselves. Is that not true?

It's true. Cases coming from NVC to embassy will have interview date set. In case you got expedite - that's when it's vary.

I know the time is long but you are all so lucky! In Canada we’re stuck at people DQ’d since January 7th.  I have 52 VJ members ahead of me. My DQ was June 1st. At this rate,  I won’t have an interview for 8 more months, I’d that.  Be thankful you have a working consulate.   🙏

Looks like we going into another national lockdown from Wednesday next week. Not sure what this may or may not mean for the embassy staying open or not. All very worrying.

Hoping and praying that embassy would stay open 🙏🏼 😰

I’m feeling a little disheartened today with the current news that England is likely to go into a further lockdown. If we follow the precedent of Dublin then it is clear the embassy will respect the Government guidance and also close.

This process is so damn long. We’ve been long distance now for five years, married for two and we just need to close that distance now. The distance, time zones have caused so much damage. We need to close the distance and start living life.

Just as I thought I’d be excited for next weeks emails to be released, I don’t feel happy. I’m fed up. SO MANY DELAYS. Paperwork delays. Government shut downs. Global pandemics. General reluctance to process cases and allow family reunification. This process is tough and I’ve not about had enough now. 😡

Oh my goodness. I've just seen the news update. I am hoping for NVC email next week. We still have to remain positive and hopeful as there is some indication that some services MAY remaining open. July DQ and others are almost there. Good luck y'all 🤞🏾

Loving the positive attitude! Let’s have hope Embassy won’t be totally affected  🙏🏼🤞🏼
Northern Ireland is usually more strict with lockdowns rules than England 🤞🏼

I understand the pain. It's now 8 months since I've seen my husband. The strain is causing an enormous amount of distress. Do not give up! We are almost there!

Of course, will do! :)

I've register to interview booking website, however there has been only like 4 dates for this week (27,28) and first week of November (2,3,4). But either of them is good for me. - I've got medical on Nov 4. So hoping they will release more dates soon, if not - hopefully I will hear something from embassy.

Looks like we are on exact same timeline, my medical is 4th too. It was weird, after I completed my ds260 (we doing direct consular filing) and logged in to check appointment times there were dates all way up to 16th November, but I chose not to book since I wanted to get medical out the way and do interview end of November. Now they haven't released any dates at all, so I can only assume they chose not to release dates expecting big lock down.
