Hi @Wuozopo

I think you've answered this question for me before but I couldn't find the thread. Do I need all 3 doses of hep B by my medical? Also where can I get the Influenza shot? Should I just get them at the medical and save myself the hassle??

Those are the only two I need to get.

You only need one if it’s recent. There’s a wait period between doses of at least 4 weeks. If four weeks have passed since a jab, you may be required to get the next due dose. If four weeks haven’t passed, then the rest get waived for “insufficient time interval”. I don’t know all the intervals.  I think there are several versions of the vaccine and they would have their own suggested intervals.

Check for flu vaccines at Boots or clinics inside stores. Be sure and get written proof with a date and name of vaccine. Or get it at the visa clinic. Maybe compare prices and ease of getting it.

at the visa clinic—

Influenza £15, Hep B £45

Afternoon all - joining this thread as I got an email to say my I-130 application was documentarily qualified on 02nd of November. If anyone with a DQ in Nov gets an interview letter/email for the London embassy please shout out and i'll do the same!

Having read through some of the recent comments i'm guessing this may not happen until end of Nov / beginning of Dec at the earliest, but doesn't stop me hoping for something sooner!

Update: my interview letter (email) came through this morning (30th Nov) at 06:30 UK time

DQ 01st Nov (*re-read and it was issued on the 1st, US time)

Interview 10th Jan - London

Good luck to everyone waiting on an IL!

Had my interview just now. Waiting between document check and interview was quite long, about 45 minutes, but then the interview itself was less than 5 minutes.

He wanted me to upload my name change document to CEAC originally, but I told him I already uploaded it with all the other documents. So he looked again, took him some time, but then seems to have found it and told me my Visa is approved 🤗

Now to just wait for my passport back via Courier 🤗

I'm so happy and emotionally drained 😂

I've seen some people track their Visa, where it supposedly should change to "Issued" - where is that? CEAC? Or the courier website from the US embassy?

I am wondering what type of questions they ask you at the interview for IR1 citizen spouse. Did you have to provide letters from friends/ family etc confirming you have a good faith marriage?. I am waiting for DQ currently and then will go through processing in London too. My attorney thinks I should get letters from people who have known myself and my husband for years. This will be difficult as I live in the U.K. and he lives in the US, I just wondered if it was absolutely necessary. Any advice would be wonderful- thank you

Did not need anything of the sorts, interview was very quick and straight-forward, you can find my review with questions on my profile or under the UK embassy here on VJ :)

We did provide photos for the I-130, I imagine the IO has all the access to those. Never heard of letters, however bear in mind it might be different for everyone depending on circumstances, place of birth, place of marriage, etc.

We got married in the UK and they do an interview beforehand with both parties to ensure it's bona fide, so might be the US embassy trusts the UK marriage certificate more due to this?

Good luck, I'm sure it'll be fine, don't overthink it too much! :)

Thank you so much for your reply. That’s good to know that the interview was quick and straightforward. We were married in the US. I will be glad when all of this is over 😂. I’ll have a look for your review.😊

Had a successful interview and will do a write up in the review section. Just to mention though ... the queue at the Embassy was very, very long. We followed advice here and went straight to the staff on the outside desk and asked if this was the queue for immigrant visas. He told us to go straight inside and though security - with another person in the same boat. That saved a great deal of time. There was a long wait after that (in all we were at the Embassy for 2 hours) but at least we skipped the early bit.

Looking ahead ... does anyone know how it works with EB visas (not fiancé visa) if we arrive on different days to the port of entry? I'd like to arrive on a later date to my partner (the main green card applicant) - is everything the same but I just have a delay before getting my green card stamp?

Unfortunately having a bit more of a difficult experience than most applicants at the interview stage, so wanted to share with the community.

After being DQ'd end of September, had my interview on 16 November, and was surprised to find out that the original police records (UK and France) I brought along were in fact, copies. That was my mistake, driven mainly by the fact that the French certificate is no longer printed on secured paper so any copy looks like the original. The second part of the interview (interview itself) went well, but I was served with the green notice requiring me to submit the originals.

I immediately traced back the originals to my parent's address in France and had them mail the documents with priority/tracked the day of the interview. Unfortunately what followed was Royal Mail losing the letter with the originals for 3 weeks and being unable to tell me where it was or give me an indicative delivery date - it actually only got delivered today. I ended up requesting new originals from the French and UK police on 23 November which took over a week to arrive due to Royal Mail again (strikes didn't help). I eventually sent the originals by courier earlier this week so hoping for a quick turnaround now. It's been really difficult missing Thanksgiving and being stranded in the UK with no sense of when I was going to get home and reunited with my wife.

Does anybody have a sense of how quickly the embassy turns the documents around in this situation? It seems that most people have been getting their passports back 2-3 days after being accepted during the interview. Should I expect a similar turnaround time or is the 5-10 business days indicated on the green form more realistic?

Also I wasn't able to find out where I can see the status change on CEAC - any help would be appreciated!

Anyway, a lesson for everyone - triple check that your originals are indeed your originals, and have all your docs in one place the whole process!

Just seen someone who was DQed 1st December get their IL today, so it looks like they are potentially sending them out more than once a month now.

That’s great, it looks like the London embassy have pretty good timeframes and are organised. I see some people from other  countries waiting over a year for the interview, so sad after waiting all that time for the approval.
