Hey all,

Signed up to write this. Been lurking on this forum for about a month and it's been a godsend for me, so thank you and good luck to all ❤️

Submitted petition 3rd of Feb

DQ 9th September

Visa interview 1st November

Petition approval was quite fast, visa application took a while and we had 1 rejection but has otherwise been a smooth process. I got the email to interview at 3am on the 15th Oct

Congrats!  What was the rejection for?

saw this update on the relevant fb group, think it will be of interest to the people here.

looks like London will no longer allow you to attend the interview without having completed your medical first.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, TGDeano - it was a chain of things. Annoyingly I'd submitted my long form and short form birth certificate in one document which got rejected, because they only wanted 1 page, ie the long form one. On the I-864 Affidavit of Support my spouse had signed the last part off digitally when they asked for a hand signature or an image of one. This sort of stuff is covered elsewhere.

Just wanted to update - did my interview today with no hitch! Embassy seemed to be running smoothly and no problems finding my way in. Staff were friendly, a few said it'd been busier. Hopefully for those on DQ things will be moving quickly so good luck to all! 🤞

Glad to hear the interview went well!  And ugh to the nitpicking of the birth certificate. So annoying but glad it’s almost over for you!

It says our case is at nvc but we have been dq'ed. Should this change to London Embassy or is this correct? They have made other mistakes with our case and just wanted to check. Thanks in advance.

That is correct. Your case is at NVC.  NVC will schedule your interview, at which point you will receive an email and your file gets sent to London Embassy. You don’t need to do anything at this point.

Yes Ivan, you do need to do something. You need to make sure you have everything you need for the medical exam because when you get the appointment email you may only have 2-3 weeks to get the medical exam. Your GP office may drag their feet so get started now with what you need from them. You need your police certificate from ACRO (you should already have that), all your shots completed and documented included 2 covid vaxes, the questionnaire filled out, and your NHS Summary Care Record. If you’ve had any medical conditions, surgeries, or meds for depression you will need a brief explanation written by your GP.

Here’s the link to the medical place so you can read the list of what to bring to your medical exam".

Does your police certificate say “No Trace”.or “No Live Trace”?"

Thank you for the information, and the police certificate says no trace. Is that alright?
