Could be worse guys, some of us are still waiting from being DQed mid last year. Just not in the IR1 category.

What category are you?

Hi guys.....

I was allocated date for the interview... can we change it?

If so, how????

Many thanks 🙏

They ask you to email them that you are going to miss your date. Then you have to wait until after your allocated date. Then you go to interview confirmation website and click on I missed my interview. The system then allows you to see available slots.

The london consular page has rescheduling instructions down belos. I notice it has been edited and emailing bit is removed

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/LND-London.html

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please go to ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to select a new appointment date after the date of your NVC scheduled interview has passed. There may be a significant wait before the next available appointment, so please attempt to attend the date already assigned. For some family-based and employment preference visa categories, a visa became available within the month you have been scheduled by NVC. DV applicants should be aware that visas are numerically limited and must be issued by September 30 of the program year. There is no guarantee that a visa will still be available on the date of your rescheduled interview. Please carefully consult the Visa Bulletin before you decide to reschedule your interview.

Please note: You need to register your original NVC/KCC appointment online before you can reschedule it. Rescheduling is only possible on a date after your assigned appointment.

Read this recent thread from the UK forum. He had a similar situation.  PM him if you want to discuss more details. He’s nice even if he sounds a little grumpy in thread. I’m sure you can relate.

Thanks.  Yes, it sounds similar.  So from that it appears I'll have to add a month or so on to my timeline.

IR1 and CR1 from many countries including canada DQ in 2020 are still waiting for interviews too... London is actually doing exceptionally well. I am May 21 DQ from Canada and would give anything to be eligible to interview at London.

As soon as you can upload all they asked for, you will be approved.

Wait, was my earlier post nuked?  I know it was long but I cannot find it.

It was off topic so probably. You should start a new thread if you want to share or ask something other than tell when you received you interview date from NVC

I read your post. This extra screening for technical expertise in certain fields has always been a thing. I’ve seen it over the years.  The USCIS wasn’t bothered because the petition is only checking to see if your spouse  qualifies to bring you to the US.

The Department of State (embassy) is charged with checking your qualifications so that’s why it wasn’t until your interview that it came up. Nobody evaluates your qualifications for a visa until the interview. NVC is just a glorified list checker to make sure you gathered all your interview documents. The interview officer chose what he/she wanted to see to clear you on security measures. You won’t be denied, but have some hoops to jump through so they know more about your background. Disappointing but you’ll get there soon.

Hi everyone! I know this has been asked but looking for confirmation. My husband wasn’t able to get a Medical appointment before his interview, it’s the same day but it’s a couple hours after the interview. The medical people told him this was okay but on the NVC site it says the medical must be completed BEFORE the interview. Has anyone else encountered this and what did you find out??

They are correct. Read what the embassy says https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/medical-examination/

Help! We're trying to register for the interview. It's asking for the Case ID and DS-260 Number. I have the Case ID but is the DS# the same thing as Invoice ID??
