Hey guys, all our documents have been accepted but how long from this till we are dq’d? Also we have booked a holiday for the end of September and now I’m getting worried that my interview could fall on when we are supposed to be away? What’s the likelihood of it being more towards end of October? Thanks! Good luck to you all :)

It took the NVC 6 days to DQ us, hopefully you should hear something very soon! I think it’s quite unlikely you’ll receive an interview date for September. There’s most of May and June’s applications still waiting for their IL’s, you’ll likely have an interview in October/November time I imagine 😁

I was DQ’d on May 21st. Still waiting on a letter. According to those who have replied in this forum, those who got a letter on July 4th were DQ’d in April/May and their interviews were for August. I’m expecting a letter by the end of the month for an interview in September.

Any May DQ people get ILs today?

DQ'd May 22nd myself. Nothing on my end. I don't expect to hear anything until August for an interview late September - early October as a personal estimation going off what I've seen from the timescales of others.

I'll post if I hear anything.

Sounds good! Someone on Facebook with May 13 DQ said they got an interview letter today for September 4. Feels like they are drip feeding interviews at this point 🤯

Oh wow. Thanks for that info. Hmm...

I have a flight scheduled to visit my husband again (finally \o/) for a month starting this August. If this is correct, I should be back just in time for the embassy appointment if it's a little later than September 4th. Wait and see I guess!

And yes, people have said London is usually pretty quick, but if this is quick, I dread to think how long other embassies have people waiting...

2 years or more from DQ to IL in some of them. London has slowed recently, it usually does slow down a little bit in the summer anyway due to staff leave and the increase in student visas to process. But this year they’ve also got the Diversity Visa applicants (for the first time ever) to get through, and they have a hard deadline of September to be interviewed by. So that must be affecting things too I’d imagine, but it’ll still be a lot quicker than most other consulates.

Good luck.

Anyone who has had their interview recently in London, can you please let me know how soon you received your passport back? I have my interview on the 7th August and me and my husband are trying to plan a holiday for the 18th August. Just wondering if it’s enough time to receive passport back.

DQ'd 16th May.

Email today with an appt for 18th Sept.

Unfortunately I'm going to struggle to make it as I'm currently in the USA for a visit and we have a family wedding on 21st September that I would be very sad to miss. I've tried to rearrange the appointment following the reschedule online advice on the instructions, but it's telling me that my NVC Number is not available to schedule an appointment right now - presumably because I have one.

I'd really rather they be able to assign someone else to this appointment date rather than wait for it to pass when I know I can't make it.

I have a few questions

- Is there a means to speak to a customer service advisor by telephone at the embassy?

- How do I find out the wait time for my reschedule, as I'd rather (reluctantly) miss the wedding than wait another 4 months.

- Has anyone got any experience of rescheduling who might be able to help me?

Thanks!!

Got my IL! My prediction wasn't too far off.

DQ'd May 22nd, appointment is scheduled for September 11th.

... 9/11? Seriously? I'm just a bundle of luck, aren't I.

I got my passport back in 3 days.
