Strategizing k1 visa approval timeline

My filipino fiancée's form i 129f was approved earlier than expected, we applied in early June and it was approved yesterday. Our plan is for her to arrive in America ASAP, but only after she graduates from university next July. I'm beginning to worry the process is moving along too quickly. Is this something I should worry about, and if so is there any way I can time things so she can come at the right time?

We were in a similar situation where we got approved unusually quickly and wanted to push it off. Once the petition made it past the NVC and went to the consulate in my husband's (then-fiance's) country, we communicated with them about pushing it off. We held it off for 8 months before we had an interview.

Thank you, that's very helpful. I'll try to email them after we're approved at the NVC.

I think it won’t be difficult to do, since it seems like Manila has quite the interview queue.

So that's 10 months from now is your ideal timeline.

You can't hold it back in the NVC since its a K-1. Maybe take your time showing some documents?

The wait for the embassy in the Philippines is only 2 months.

But one thing is once she gets the visa it allows up to 6 months later you entering the US. Ie its valid for 6 months after.

So really you're talking about an extra 2-3 months more. Might be able to stall at NVC and try get a later embassy appointment date and also waiting just before the visa expires to go. Should be able to pull it off! But others may be able to advise better than me.
