Hi all! I'm not sure if this should go in the Consulate section or here, but my best guess is here.
I have my interview friday and I'll have to drive 4-5h so I'm rechecking everything now. And sadly, I missed something. I read this sentence too fast regarding the evidence of support: 'A photocopy of the petitioner’s IRS tax transcripts and any relevant W-2s must be included.'. We included his W-2s from last year, but I totally missed the tax transcripts part. So dumb!! And it apparently takes 10-15 days for it to get to him, and my interview is in... 36h.. Yippie!

Now I know that when you forget something you can send it to them and if everything is all good, THEN they'll approve/deny it. But I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a chance they might 'overlook' it or not care?

I absolutely hate myself for not double checking earlier, even though I did but totally read over it, but at this point I can't do anything to fix it haha.

IRS Transcripts are available online.  Alternatively, you can use a copy of the 1040 tax return package along with W-2s.

He just found the online thing and is trying to get in his id.me now. I’ll also tell him about the 1040, maybe that’s easier for him.

The stress you removed from my soul cat.. thank you.

Hey another Dutchie! Where are you from in The Netherlands?

I didn't see that either so I didn't bring the tax transcripts either, I send the complete tax returns. The lady did say I was a bit 'overprepared' at my interview.

I don't know if they would overlook or not. It's not the official support form, you file that with your AOS. So they might. But you have it so no worries at all. Good luck! It is way less scary than you are thinking right now, believe me! You need to go to Frankfurt now, don't you?

Yup! Currently (hopefully 2 months left) living in Apeldoorn, and then I’ll live in the Dallas area!

and yeah, sadly I’ll have to go to Frankfurt. Gotta be there at 8:30am, so that’s ### HAHA. It’s 3,5-5 hours from apeldoorn

You can get your IRS transcript online and then send it as an attachment via email and then have it printed before going to the interview.  It really took me all of 10 minutes to do it when my husband went to the interview.  He was able to print it at the hotel.

Seems like it's better to just get a hotel in Frankfurt day before?

I survived the drive! Honestly, it wasn’t too bad. Started driving at 3:15 and took a 20min break, arrived at 7:45.

Worst part was that my appointment was at 8:30 and my interview wasn’t until 12:15… I was so hungry LOL
