Hello everyone!

We just started our k1, we sent our packet already and after 7days my fiancee received a I-797C the reason for it
is that we filled out a old version of I-129F. Third party, working with us mistakenly give as a old form,
but then we go through all of it over again and sent it after making corrections and proof reading everything
,but my concern is that on Page 8 no. 54 (where you have to describe
the circumstances of meeting in person) our third party mistakenly put 2024 intead of 2023. We overlook
that mistake even thouroughly proof reading everything. Me and my fiancee
is so going through stress about it because we already sent the packet to the p.o Box and theres no way
we could halt the packet. Thanks guys your thoughts and experience about this one would help this most important
time of our lives.
xoxo ♥

I don't think it is a big deal, but you could try submitting unsolicited evidence in the form of a correction to the Laguna Niguel address.    We submitted a much more significant piece of evidence, and it was included with our case.

I would just write a letter with "to whom it may concern", and the page in question with the corrected date highlighted.

Good luck.

Should be fine, there's been many people who have met in 2024 and been approved (not that you did meet in 2024, but even if USCIS believed that, there shouldn't be any issues as long as the relationship is real and true and genuine & you meet all the requirements for the visa).

Sounds to me like you should drop the third party, is it a lawyer/immigration service? This process is very very doable with no third party; we DIY'd and we got approved with no RFE, as do many many people on here. I'd just personally be cautious because if they've made 2 mistakes already this early in the process (especially if it's a lawyer/service because those mistakes are the kind that shouldn't be made by such people imo) there's no telling what kind of mistakes they could make later on. We just got in the habit of triple, quad checking everything over to ensure fresh eyes and nothing missed.

Good luck for your process! :)

Hey thank you for that! it really makes me feel at ease somehow, our third party is a visa agency who cater a lot of visas here in the Philippines
and they have been in the service for a decade. Yeah my fiancee is really on the point of wanting to drop their service and request for a refund
but theres no way we could do that. We are just being optimistic about the mistake, because we're sure a typo error is not a big deal for them hopefully!

Keep us posted on your progress!  I'm curious about how helpful this agency is personally, since they not only sent you the form to do yourself, but gave you an outdated one as well. I hope all goes well.  Please know you have a community here to assist if needed.

(P.S. I believe you can "halt" the packet in a sense, if the check hasn't been cashed yet with USCIS.  If you cancel the check with your bank it would simply be Rejected and you could start over on your own.)
