That's crazy talk. I don't believe it.

I'm a bit skeptical too. I'm thinking if you eat too much of anything, you're going to gain weight, no?

Where'd you find the story. I can't just eat a few nuts... I end up eating the whole container.

Roger that Bro!! Especially Planter's cashews... I will eat the entire container, yet I am of reasonable weight, cholesterol level and blood pressure. There may be something to this theory.

I am waiting for the Planter's or any other brand container, of salted pecans. That would be a 10 minute project for me. :D

Me thinks the article fails to mention the fact that they have to be raw nuts and without salt. Roasted nuts are not a stable form of fat (it completely destroys omega 3) and therefore quite unhealthy. Good old raw nuts from your local health food store are the ones to get. They take a lot more chewing and digestion than the roasted ones which I suspect is also a beneficial aid to the lack of weight gain. I eat raw nuts everyday, along with a mix of flax and other seeds. Nowt wrong with me...yet. ;)

Oh, thanks Lou Lou! I was hoping to get your perspective on this!:thumbs: I've been eating the roasted and salted sunflower seeds for fear that my stomach may not be able to handle raw seeds, but I'll give it a try. :star:

Do you have a sensitive stomach?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Yes. :( I seem to have an intolerance/allergy to many fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly melons. I used eat cantalope and watermelon as a kid, but later in my teens, I remember trying a piece of watermelon and my throat swelled up. I'm not sure why or how it happened but I've tried several times to just taste melon and to no success.

Recently, I found that I have intolerance to oats as well ...I get really bad stomach cramps. It's sucks because oats are so healthy to eat.

I eat a lot of cashew nuts, I love it. It is my snack, some people eat Doritos, some eat Pringles, some eat Lays, I eat cashew nuts. It's fattening, but at least it's all good fat and healthy.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
