Hello all. Was wondering where can one obtain a police certificate in Nigeria and the process in which one can obtain the correct certificate. Can one request it online or do you have to go to ikoyi? Current state is delta state

You need to follow the country specific guidelines on the website to make sure you get the right thing - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Nigeria.html

Good luck.

Visit POSSAP website, that's where you'll apply for your Police Character Certificate and pay N30,000. Then you'll go for biometrics and capturing at either Alagbon, ikoyi Lagos or Force Headquarters, Abuja, which will still be sent to Alagbon for stamping. The police Character Certificate only lasts for 3 months but the biometrics is valid for many years. You'll need them both at the interview.
