that’s not an immigration obstacle.

Not an immigration obstacle per se, but the picture OP paints (with ex GF currently pregnant, and now adjusting status via someone else), the timing of the AOS marriage could raise questions.

The subject of the ex won’t come up at any stage of the adj…and child ‘s birth ( until paternity is established ) won’t hinder OP. ..unless he is allowed or wants to voluntarily sign birth certificate…

he gets away scot free until ex makes ( and completes ) a move.

Is the new missus aware ?

Right.  My point is that one can infer from the timeline that the current relationship (from meeting to marriage) may have been quite quick.  That is what could draw scrutiny for the adjustment.

we are considering adjusting based on a marriage with a USC, but that marraige hasn't happened and we plan on taking our time and not rush into it. I apologize that it came off that way. Tried to keep it short and to the point but lead to more confusion. Right now we are just considering the possiblity of it in the future and we are asking for future reference. Asking questions like these might be premature but when planning a future, topics like these inevitably comes up and we just want to figure out what we should do if we ever get to that point, and figured that it's probably better to be educated about the process now than last minute.
