Hello All we had our IR5 INTERVIEW @LONDON consulate on 30th August.

Our daughter who was in USA Is petitioner.

Our interview was seamless.  Visa officer asked very simple questions.  At the end of the interview visa office kept our passport and informed us the he INTENDS to approve our visa but he needs to run some system check and the system is down today if we need further information you will get email by 2 buisness day. so I am confused if we got it approved as what system check is required.  we lived in USA 25 years ago for 5 years.

Has any one ever experienced this...

Thanks in advance.

Were you on a work visa 25 years ago?

Thank you for quick reply

Does that mean our previous records? and it will take more time to get our passport back? Do they do it to all applicants who have lived in USA before.

That's perfectly normal, everybody goes through Administrative Processing. For most people it's approved very quickly (my online status only said Admin Processing for a couple of hours before changing to Approved), but for others it can take longer. No way of knowing how long yours will take, just keep an eye on your status and fingers crossed it will change soon.

Good luck.
