Not getting my hopes up but just received an unsolicited update today on my CEAC. I am hitting the 7 month mark tomorrow since my interview.

How many unsolicited updates you got within a month or 6 weeks? Just want to see the pattern. Thanks

This is actually my first one. My last one was April 25 but that was triggered by an email response from them.

if you get one more update in a week or so, that would definitely a good sign and indicates that they are working on your case.

Can you post a timeline for the updates you received leading up to the request?

So we had updates in May and June that just corresponded to generic email responses, but then unsolicited on June 20, 21 and then today as well.

Does anyone on here who has sent in their documents after passport request have the address they mailed their docs to? There is no specific address given in the email requesting documents...

EDIT: Nevermind - there was a link in the email but you just need to sign in to the AIS - US visa website to find it.

Hi all, I was asked to submit passport to MTL today.  My case has been in AP/ds5535 for about 2 months. Hopefully this gives you hope. Btw, a question about getting a stamp at MTL. How long does it take to get the passport back?

congrats!! When was your interview?!

Congratulations!! that is a quick turnaround (hope for us all)! Usually, once the visa is stamped, they say you will receive the passport back in 14 days but it takes less than 14 days.
