Has anyone who interviewed in Jan - April 2023 heard anything from the consulate?

Other than 4 or 5 unsolicited updates that occurred from mid Jan to early March, nothing. Updates seem to have dried up as well. Still fighting the us attorney’s motion to dismiss; will keep the forum updated.

When did you file WOM & get your MTD? We plan on refiling a WOM at the 11 month - 11 & 1/2 month point

I have 2 more questions:

  1. After login to the CEAC status checking page, does your page show the same "Check DS-260 Status" or something else?
  2. Does the "Check DS-260 Status" mean I need do something on my DS-260?

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Does your case show "Check DS-260 Status" same as mine or show the expiring date now?

Filed at the 9 month point. Generic MTD in Jan after two initially promising extension requests. Filed our response in late Feb, waiting on the US attorneys response in early April. At that point the judge will decide whether to dismiss or not. If they don't, I suppose we move into some adjudication process (which can take a long time to get scheduled) but I expect the consulate would clear me before we get to that point.

I don’t understand the complete standstill with all cases since Jan 2023. Are there ppl OUTSIDE of this chat forum that is actually being cleared?? I can’t even imagine the backlog the system is facing now. I wonder does this have anything to do with changes to the system post public opinion inquest.

Hang in there everyone!

I've looked at dozens of forums and facebook groups and online chats and international groups, and this doesnt seem to be the case. I think everyone is in the same boat. For what reason we're all stuck? That stands to be seen but hopefully we can get some answers soon

Hang in there everyone!

I can tell you about Pakistan , In last 2 months (which I spent online on different forums , websites  and in different WhatsApp groups) according to information I collected since Jan - 2023 people who got Ds-5535 only 10% to 15% got clear and got visa ( almost 85% to 90% are waiting ) , Only encouraging  thing is that 98% of cases from 2022 and before are cleared. Only 2 % are stuck In Ds-5535 for more then 18 months(God knows why) in Pakistan. This is my guess based on people with Ds-5535 online , I don't know how many applicant with Ds-5535 never made it online to any forum or any group.

So this means things are moving very slow , actually extremely slow , Why ? I have no idea.

I believe what we are all interested in knowing is:

- Are worldwide cases of AP, and those with a DS-5535 in particular, currently processing very slowly or at a standstill?

- Is this just a Montreal phenomenon?

- What is the reason for the standstill?

- When will the standstill end?

As many people have pointed out, the majority of folks who got into AP at the end of 2022 seem to all be through the gates. However, the last time a person in AP heard back from the consulate to provide medical / passport was in October, which means nothing has come out of the Montreal consulate in almost 6 months.
